KLCI ends higher for second day in row


KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia closed higher today for a second straight session of gains, on buying support of Petronas-linked stocks, in line with key Asian markets.

At 5pm, the KLCI was up 4.15 points or 0.27% to 1,567.34. Turnover was 2.49 billion shares valued at RM2.11bil. The benchmark index rose as high as 1,572.51 points and a low of 1,559.83 points today. On the broader market, gainers and losers almost equal 427 to 428, while 381 counters unchanged.
