KUALA LUMPUR: Alliance DBS Research believes the recent trend in crude palm oil (CPO) prices should continue into financial year 2020 (FY20) due to the plateauing of palm oil supply with dissipation in production yields, supply disruption from El Nino and stronger soybean prices.
The research unit, in its latest report, has upgraded its CPO price assumptions for FY20-22F from RM2,230-RM2,410 per tonne to RM2,450-RM2,540 per tonne.
