KUALA LUMPUR: Up to 600 applications from small-and-medium enterprises (SME) are expected for the new season of the Alliance Bank-EcoWorld BizSmart Challenge compared to about 400 last year, driven by the overwhelming response in the previous season.

group chief executive officer Joel Kornreich said this year’s challenge offers a higher prize quantum of over RM1.5mil in cash, product sponsorships and media coverage prize.
“After BizSmart Challenge has ended, we will extend up to RM5mil in collateral-free financing and assign a dedicated SME Banking Advisory team to help the top 20 finalists with the entrepreneurial journey, ” he said after the launch of the challenge here yesterday. — Bernama
