JOHOR BARU: Johor Ruler Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar has launched the Menara JLand, which is located in the city centre.
The 37-storey tower is the first building here to obtained the gold certificate for green building index (GBI) and grade A office building in the Ibrahim International Business District (IIBD).
In line with IIBD objectives in providing a world class business premise, Menara JLand will be the main focus for both local and foreign investors as the building uses green and smart technology.
Johor Corp (JCorp) president and chief executive officer Datuk Kamaruzzaman Abu Kassim, who is also Johor Land Berhad (JLand) chairman, said the building was located in a strategic location at the entrance of IIBD as well as Iskandar Malaysia from Singapore.
“The building also has easy accessed through network connection with six economic growth within a 60km range which is Pasir Gudang, Senai, Iskandar Puteri, Tanjung Langsat, Tanjung Pelepas and Pengerang.
“Menara JLand is also strategic for convenience facilities with a walk bridge that will connect buildings and shopping centres around the city area, ” he said adding that the walk bridge would give the building an advantage as it allows visitors to conduct their activities either for shopping, recreation or even work.
Kamaruzzaman said this in his speech during the official opening by Sultan Ibrahim held here on Tuesday night.
He pointed out Menara JLand’s strategic location at Johor Baru-Singapore Rapid Transit System would contribute to its long-term success.
