Alliance Bank 2Q net profit at RM115.5m due to higher credit costs


Alliance Bank posted stronger net profit in 2Q FY2020 when compared with 1Q FY2020. Earnings rose by RM38.8mil or 50.6% due to higher revenue and lower net credit cost.

KUALA LUMPUR: Alliance Bank net profit in the second quarter ended Sept 30,2019 (2Q FY2020) fell by 25% to RM115.52mil from RM140.52mil a year ago mainly due to higher net credit cost.

In a filing to Bursa Malaysia on Wednesday, its revenue rose by 29.3% to RM429.28mil from RM399.18mil a year ago.
