KUALA LUMPUR: Teo Seng Capital Bhd's push into renewable energy has seen it team up with Solarvest Holdings Bhd to install solar photovoltaic (PV) panels across its chicken farms and factories in Johor.
The poultry company had on Thursday signed a memorandum of agreement with Solarvest for the latter to install about 4,000 kWp (kilowattpeak) rooftop solar projects under a proposed RM13mil investment.
“This investment is in line with Teo Seng’s aspiration of being an environmentally sustainable organisation as well as supporting the government’s initiatives to encourage the use of green energy.
“The renewable energy generated will be used for the daily operations of Teo Seng’s facilities and is expected to bring savings to Teo Seng’s electricity costs and positively contribute to the global environment conservation efforts, ” it said.
Solarvest specialises in turnkey engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC) services for Solar PV systems.
The group also provides operations and maintenance services of solar PV systems. It has an established track record, having completed Solar PV systems for large scale solar photovoltaic plants as well as residential, commercial and industrial properties.
