KESM posts higher 1Q net profit of RM4.53m


On the prospects, KESM said world-wide semiconductor revenue was estimated to reach US$429bil in 2019, down by 9.6% from US$475bil in 2018.

KUALA LUMPUR: Semiconductor-related KESM Industries' net profit for the first quarter ended Sept 30, 2019 by 71% to RM4.53mil from RM2.64mil a year ago due to lower expenses.

It said on Wednesday its revenue, however, fell by 11.2% to RM72.39mil from RM81.56mil a year ago. Earnings per share were 10.53 sen compared with 6.14 sen.
