Hextar Global declares dividend totalling RM29.38m


Hextar focuses on the agrochemical industry including manufacturing, research & development, and commercialisation & marketing of over 500 product registrations

KUALA LUMPUR: Hextar Global Bhd’s (previously Halex Holdings Bhd) has declared an interim dividend of 3.58 sen per share totalling RM29.38mil for the financial year ending Dec 31,2019.

The company said on Monday the entitlement and payment dates are Dec 2 and 18. The last time it paid out a dividend was in 2014.

For the third quarter ended Sept 30,2019, it reported profit before taxation of RM11.30mil.

Hextar executive director, Datuk Eddie Ong Choo Meng said the dividend was to reward its shareholders who had given their strong mandate to facilitate the successful merger with Hextar Chemicals Ltd group.

To recap, it recently acquired Hextar Chemicals Ltd for a total purchase consideration of RM596.8mil.

With the merger with Hextar Chemicals Limited group, Hextar is the largest agrochemical company in Malaysia.

Hextar focuses on the agrochemical industry including manufacturing, research & development, and commercialisation & marketing of over 500 product registrations. It diversified into the health care consumer products and speciality chemicals.
