KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips closed slightly lower in lacklustre trade on Friday ahead of an extended weekend break, with Maxis and Axiata weighing on the FBM KLCI while ViTrox fell i on weaker results.
At 5pm, the KLCI was down 1.11 points or 0.07% to 1,570. Turnover was 2.06 billion shares valued at RM1.39bil, reflecting the lack of interest from market participants. Decliners beat advancers 429 to 322 while 417 counters were unchanged.
