Hextar unit signs deal with Sumitomo


PETALING JAYA: Hextar Chemicals Sdn Bhd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hextar Global Bhd (formerly known as Halex Holdings Bhd), has signed an agreement with Sumitomo Chemical Vietnam Co, Ltd (SCV) for the distribution of the company’s hallmark 150 SL herbicide for a period of five years commencing yesterday.

In a statement, Hextar said the herbicide is used for the control of unwanted weeds in rubber plantations, with further expansion into other crops.
