BEIJING: China’s second-largest property developer Vanke will work with the Malaysian government to protect Kuala Lumpur’s Bukit Nanas Forest Reserve even as it awaits government approval for its seven-acre development.

Vanke Malaysia managing director Lang Cong told a group of Malaysian media on a familiarisation trip of Vanke’s facilities in Shenzhen, Beijing and Shanghai yesterday that “we will comply with government policies and regulations. We will not touch Bukit Nanas at all because this is a heritage site. Bukit Nanas is our project unique selling point”.
