KUALA LUMPUR: Despite lower oil prices, Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) posted a 9% increase in profit after tax to RM28.9bil for the first half ended June 30, 2019 from RM26.65bil a year ago.
The national oil company had on Friday attributed the increase in its bottomline to higher sales of crude oil and liquified natural gas (LNG) and a weak ringgit against the US dollar.
