BNM's international reserves unchanged at US$103.5b at Sept 13

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Negara's international reserves were US$103.5bil as at Sept 13, 2019, unchanged from two weeks earlier.

“The reserves position is sufficient to finance 7.6 months of retained imports and is 1.1 time total short-term external debt,” it said.

The main components of the international reserves were foreign currency reserves (US$96.7bil), International Monetary Fund reserves position (US$1.1bil), special drawing rights (US$1.1bil), gold (US$1.8bil) and other reserve assets (US$2.8bil).
