Hadenan was a former Auditor General who spent his early years as a civil servant under various government ministries, including as deputy secretary-general (trade) for the International Trade and Industry Ministry and secretary-general at the Works Ministry.

chairman and director Tan Sri Hadenan A Jalil, who has served the board for nine years, has passed away.
The 73-year-old passed away yesterday noon at his home in Sungai Buloh with his family by his side.
