Oil and gas stocks underpin KLCI's slight advance

KUALA LUMPUR: Blue chips started Tuesday on a firmer note, underpinned by gains in Petronas-linked stocks while Sapura Energy and Bumi Armada basked in the surge in crude oil prices.

At 9.51am, the FBM KLCI was up 1.41 points or 0.09% to 1,602.66. Turnover was 876.62 million shares valued at RM392.03mil. There were 257 gainers, 252 losers and 297 counters unchanged.
