Icon Offshore bags RM25.6m Petronas Carigali job

KUALA LUMPUR: Icon Offshore Bhd has secured a contract from Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd to provide an anchor handling tug and supply vessel for the latter's production operations.

Incon Offshore, an offshore support vessel (OSV) provider, said in a statement on Wednesday the RM25.60mil contract took effect on Aug 16 and would be for 730 days.

Managing director Datuk Seri Hadian Hashim said the contract secured proved the support and confidence which Petronas Carigali has in the company.

“We hope to secure more contracts through delivering value-added services for our clients and the market.

“This is in line with Icon’s belief that high standards of delivery will sustain the company as the market conditions improve. Contract wins such as this continue to bolster the Company’s credentials as Malaysia’s largest OSV provider,” he added.

On Aug 26, Icon secured a RM18.20mil contract from an oil major.

Year to date, it has secured eight contracts worth RM174mil inclusive of extension period.
