BEIJING: The importance of supporting the development of private businesses was highlighted at a key Party meeting presided over by President Xi Jinping on Monday.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, attended the 10th meeting of the Central Committee for Deepening Overall Reform and delivered an important speech.
