THERE has been strong interest in bidding for the latest round of large-scale solar (LSS) plants but what is surprising is that some bidders have put in tariff bids at very low prices.
According to data on the Energy Commission’s website, the price offered for the supply of electricity through solar plants has dropped to a low as 17.77 sen per kilowatt hour (kWh).
