Axiata records Q2 net profit of RM204.09m, declares 5 sen dividend


KUALA LUMPUR: Axiata Group Bhd recorded a net profit of RM204.09mil in the second quarter ended June 30 and declared a dividend of five sen a share on the back of a better performance and the discontinuation of losses related to its Indian operation.

Recall that in Q2 last year, Axiata had incurred a net loss of RM3.36bil due to a provision for the de-recognition and reclassification of India's Idea Cellular Ltd from an associate to a simple investment.
