Petronas Gas net profit at RM502.89m in Q2, Div 16c

Petronas Gas said its plants and facilities continued to perform well above 99% reliability. Gas processing’s liquid plant extraction performance continued to exceed targets, contributing towards higher performance incentives compared to corresponding quarter.

KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Gas Bhd posted net profit of RM502.89mil in the second quarter ended June 30, 2019, which was a dip of 1.2% from RM509.32mil a year ago due to higher tax expense.

It announced on Tuesday, its profit before tax rose by 2.9% to RM651.29mil from RM632.84mil a year ago due to higher share of profit from a joint venture company following the completion of the group’s air separation unit project in Pengerang, Johor.
