Malakoff posts Q2 net profit of RM52.2mil

KUALA LUMPUR: Independent power producer Malakoff Corporation Bhd posted net profit of RM52.2mil in the second quarter ended June 30,2019, which was a a slight decline from the RM52.54mil a year ago.

It said its revenue fell by 6.6% to RM1.81bil from RM1.94bil, primarily due to lower energy payment recorded from Tanjung Bin Energy Sdn Bhd (TBE) coal plant following the plant’s 73-day scheduled maintenance outage and rectification undertaken from March 31 to June 12.
