KUALA LUMPUR: Petronas Chemicals Group Bhd's net profit fell by 22.3% in the second quarter ended June 30, 2019 as revenue was impacted by lower crude oil prices, weaker demand and higher tax expenses.
PChem said on Tuesday its net profit fell to RM1.12b from RM1.44bil a year ago. Its revenue declined by 8% to RM4.33bil largely due to lower product prices partially offset by higher sales volume and the weakening of the ringgit against US dollar.
