CIDB: Better accommodation for construction workers soon


CIDB chief executive Datuk Ahmad Asri Abdul Hamid hoped the regulation, which is currently being drafted, can be completed by year-end.

KUALA LUMPUR: The Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB) is working closely with the Human Resources Ministry to develop the regulation for workers’ housing and amenities, particularly, the minimum standard for their accommodation in the construction industry.

Amendments to Act 446 (worker’s minimum standards of Housing and Amenities Act 1990) was approved by Parliament on July 31, 2019.
