KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia and key regional markets ended Friday in a sea of red after US President Donald Trump said he would impose 10% tariffs on the remaining US$300bil of Chinese imports from Sept 1.
At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was down 12.31 points or 0.75% to 1, 626.76 – the lowest since May 29 and 3.78% year-to-date. Turnover was 2.22 billion shares valued at RM1.76bil. Decliners beat advancers more than three to one or 696 losers to 210 gainers and 341 counters unchanged.
