KUALA LUMPUR: Key Asian markets closed lower on Wednesday as there were no signs of a breakthrough in the US-China trade talks while at Bursa, banks bore the brunt of the selling pressure.
At 5pm, the FBM KLCI was down 7.82 points or 0.48% to 1, 634.87 and pushed the 30-stock index deeper into the red. Year-to-date the KLCI is down 3.30% and making the worst performer.
