Trading ideas: Genting Malaysia, Pavilion REIT, Caring Pharmacy, Vitrox, CMMT and BAT


KUALA LUMPUR: Stocks to watch for on Monday according to JF Apex research include Genting Malaysia, Pavilion REIT, Caring Pharmacy, Vitrox, CMMT and BAT.

In its daily highlights report, JF Apex noted that Genting Malaysia has settled its dispute with Disney and Fox over the outdoor theme park

Meanwhile, Pavilion REIT posted a marginal rise in 2Q NPI and declared an interim distribution of 4.4 sen.

CMMT's NPI also fall in 2Q on lower occupancy in The Mines and Sungei Wang.

Caring Pharmacy's 4Q profit declined 11% while it declared a six sen dividend.

Vitrox's 2Q profit fell 12.4% on lower demand and BAT Malaysia decalred a lower divided as 2Q net profit tumbled 32%.

Last Friday on Wall Street, the DOw Jones slid more than 100 points on fears of less aggressive Fed cut this week. 

A similar result was witness in European markets as European Central Bank president Mario Draghi sent mixed messages on stimulus measures.

The FBM KLCI was up 4.17 points to 1,656.58 at Friday's close.

However, following the negative performance in the US and Europe, JF Apex expects the index to remain sideways below the resistance of 1,675 points.
