Hibiscus strikes first oil in North Sabah PSC

PETALING JAYA: Hibiscus Petroleum Bhd has achieved first oil under an enhanced oil recovery production sharing contract (PSC) in the St Joseph oil field in Sabah.

In its filing with Bursa Malaysia, the oil and gas group said its wholly owned subsidiary - SEA Hibiscus Sdn Bhd – had successfully drilled and completed the SJ-105A well, the first of the three infill wells being drilled as part of the St Joseph infill drilling project in Malaysia, under the 2011 North Sabah PSC.
