CIMB Thai posts 19.4% jump in first-half net profit

Better results: CIMB Thai’s branch in Bangkok. The groups operating income for the first six months of this year rose 1.2% to 6.88 billion baht on loan expansion and higher interest income.

PETALING JAYA: CIMB Thai Bank PLC recorded a 19.4% jump in net profit to 429.9 million baht over the six months ended June 30, 2019 compared with the previous corresponding period.

This was achieved on the back of higher operating income and lower provisions.
