PETALING JAYA: UEM EDGENTA BHD has won a contract worth around half a billion ringgit from the Health Ministry of Singapore.
In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, UEM Edgenta said the contract was for the provision of hospital support services, including house-keeping and portering services, for the ministry’s restructured hospitals.
It said the contract is estimated to be worth between RM429.96mil and RM540.1mil, with the final value subject to the actual manpower resources deployed.
“The duration of the contract ranges from three to five years, with options to extend for another two to five years,” it said. The effective dates of the contracts are between April 1, 2019 and Aug 1, 2019.
“The contracts are expected to contribute positively to the future earnings and net assets per share of the UEM Edgenta group.
“It will not have any effect on the issued and paid-up capital, or on the shareholding of the substantial shareholders of the company,” it said.
Shares in UEM Edgenta closed one sen higher to RM2.85 yesterday.
The company’s order book stands at more than RM13bil, anchored by the infrastructure division with 65% or RM8.72bil worth of jobs, while healthcare makes up about 28% or RM3.75bil, and the remainder in property solutions and consultancy segment.
