PETALING JAYA: PLUS Malaysia Bhd has appointed Datuk Mohamad Nasir Ab Latif its chairman effective June 27.
In a statement yesterday, the company said Mohamad Nasir succeeds Tan Sri Mohd Sheriff Mohd Kassim, who had opted to retire with effect from June 27, 2019 after almost 17 years of leading the PLUS Group.
“Mohamad Nasir, who serves on the board of directors of PLUS since Dec 31, 2013, began his career with the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) in 1982 and has held several positions before being promoted to EPF’s deputy chief executive officer for investment.”
Mohd Sheriff’s achievements included PLUS Expressways Berhad’s public listing on the stock exchange in 2002, the introduction of PLUS’ new corporate logo, its digital transformation and the facelift project for its rest areas.
