KUALA LUMPUR: Pantech Group Holdings Bhd, Fajarbaru Builder Group Bhd, Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd and BERJAYA SPORTS TOTO BHD (BToto) are among the stocks to watch on Wednesday, according to JF Apex Research.
The US Department of Commerce has cleared Pantech's unit Pantech Steel Industries Sdn Bhd (PSI) of circumventing the anti-dumping duty order on butt-weld fittings from China.
As a result, PSI will immediately commence shipments of its carbon steel butt-weld fittings to the US once again.
Fajarbaru Builder is partnering a Chinese company to participate in the bidding on request for proposal (RFP) by the Energy Commission of Malaysia to develop and operate large scale solar photovoltaic plants (LSS3) for Peninsular Malaysia.
YINSON has secured a four-year extension of its floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) charter contract worth US$137.5mil (RM574.1mil).
Serba Dinamik said its units have secured the seven contracts, which it expected to contribute positively to the group's earnings for FY19.
Berjaya Sports Toto doubled its net profit to RM70.18mil for 4QFY19, from RM35.18mil in 4QFY18, helped by lower prize payout and a decline in operating expenses.
Meanwhile, US markets rose overnight following renewed hopes of a US-China trade deal and the Federal Reserve could ease monetary policy later this year.
Earlier, European stocks climbed after the European Central Bank president suggested stimulus if inflation remains low.
“Following the positive performance in Wall Street and Europe, the FBM KLCI could extend its upside towards the resistance of 1,660 points,” JF Apex said.
