TWO years ago, engineering services provider Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd started to build its information technology (IT) segment and now, the group is well poised to reap the fruits of its labour.
The growth of Serba Dinamik’s IT segment will be mainly driven by its cashless payment system Qwik Pay, which is designed for the QR code-based parking system.
According to Serba Dinamik CEO and managing director Datuk Karim Abdullah, the IT segment is set to be an important business segment for the group, going forward.
“We need to strengthen our competitiveness in this segment and hope to grow this segment fast by tapping into our established geographical markets in the Middle East, Asia and Central Asia.
“However, we will not diversify our existing core competencies in operation and maintenance (O&M) as well as engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning (EPCC).
“The IT segment is partly supporting our engineering activities and we are advancing in that space (IT) by capturing the consumer market,” he tells StarBizWeek.
Serba Dinamik’s institutional clientele comprised of oil and gas corporations such as Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas), SIRIM Bhd and telecommunications companies.
