KUALA LUMPUR: Perodua is narrowing down the order delivery gap for its Aruz seven-seater sport utility vehicle (SUV), with 52 % of the 25,000 bookings received to-date have already fulfilled.
Perodua president and chief executive officer Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the car manufacturer had managed to increase the Aruz deliveries to an average of 110 units daily from 100 previously.
“The Perodua Aruz has been met with an unprecedented demand. We thank all Malaysians for making the nation’s best-value SUV also one of its best-selling SUVs. To our valued customers whose new cars we could not deliver in time for Hari Raya, we apologise most sincerely and humbly,” he said in a statement.
Perodua Aruz has been certified as an energy-efficient vehicle which has a class-leading rated fuel consumption figure of 15.6 km per litre. With six airbags and vehicle stability control as the standard, plus the advanced variant (AV)’s advanced safety assist 2.0, the Perodua Aruz has a maximum five-star Asean New Car Assessment Programme (NCAP) safety rating. — Bernama
