UK warehouse buy to bring assured income to EPF

Galeria Katowicka is located in Katowice, about 260km from the Polish capital of Warsaw, and 70km from Krakow, the second-largest city. Katowice metropolitan area has a population of between three and 3.5 million. The EPF in an email said:

PETALING JAYA: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) said the purchase of UK’s Sports Direct warehouse for £120mil or RM562mil would enable the investment to generate an assured income stream matching its risk return profile.

The EPF, which confirmed the purchase yesterday, said: “In line with EPF’s investment policies, comprehensive due diligence and robust governance standards were followed in completing the purchase of the logistics asset. “This deal will complement and form part of the EPF’s UK real property portfolio.”
