PETALING JAYA: Utility giant Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) sold more electricity in the first quarter ended March 31, raking in an additional sales value of almost RM1bil.
However, this has failed to translate into a better bottom line as the group’s net profit took a sharp dive in the first quarter, after its net loss from impairments widened by about RM275mil on a year-on-year (y-o-y) basis.
