CCM net profit weighed down by soft product prices


CCM stands to benefit from Rapid

PETALING JAYA: Chemical Company of Malaysia Bhd’s (CCM) net profit fell 37.4% to RM6.25mil in the first quarter ended March 31, 2019 (1Q19) from RM9.98mil in the corresponding quarter last year, amid lower average selling prices of its chlor-alkali products.

During the quarter in review, the group’s revenue fell 4.4% to RM96.98mil from RM101.4mil in the previous corresponding period. Earnings per share was lower at 3.72 sen, compared with 5.95 sen previously.
