SINGAPORE: With the ongoing trade tensions still festering between China and the United States, Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) expects future trade development trends to move away from globalisation to regionalisation instead, with the world’s future new trends expected to emerge from Asia.

Group president and CEO Datuk Abdul Farid Alias said in his opening speech at the Invest Asia 2019 conference that statistics showed that countries around the world have increasingly preferred regional agreements on trade these days.
