LONDON: Sainsbury’s was alone among Britain’s big four supermarket groups in seeing sales fall in the 12 weeks to April 21, industry data showed yesterday.
The group, which had its £7.3bil (US$9.5bil) takeover of rival Asda blocked by the UK competition regulator last week, saw its sales fall 1.2% in the period, market researcher Kantar said.
