AWC subsidiary gets RM17.1m China Construction job


AWC also highlighted plans to use Trackworks as a platform to venture into rail asset management.

KUALA LUMPUR: AWC Bhd's subsidiary has secured a RM17.10mil contract from  China Communications Construction Company (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd for part of the system works package for the Mass Rapid Transit 2 line.

AWC said on Tuesday  Trackwork and Supplies Sdn Bhd had accepted the letter of award for part of the work on the Mass Rapid Transit 2 line stretching from Sungai Buloh to Serdang and Putrajaya.

The contract comprises of engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning of trackworks, maintenance vehicles and works train.

Trackwork and Supplies will have to provide the design, manufacturing, supply, assembly, testing and commissioning of Harsco Model RGH 10C rail grinding vehicle works.

The training, testing and commission and acceptance by the project-delivery partner for the rail grinding vehicle is by end-September 2022.
