ECRL project revival to benefit many sectors

Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng has expressed hope that the decision on the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) will be finalised soon.

PETALING JAYA: The revival of the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project is set to benefit local rail-based construction players, create a spillover effect for local port operators and potentially open up corridors for property development routes.

AllianceDBS Research in a report yesterday said contractors with urban rail-based experience would benefit the most - in particular those that have done work for the local double-tracking project.
