Kronologi appoints Tay Nam Hiong as CEO

Scomi Group Bhd surprised investors when it proposed to revise its current issued share capital reduction from RM224.96mil to RM3mil from the earlier RM40mil.

KUALA LUMPUR: Kronologi Asia Bhd has appointed Edmond Tay Nam Hiong as its executive director and CEO with effect from Monday.

The enterprise data management and data storage solutions company said on Monday Tay takes over from Teo Chong Meng Philip Dominic, who will relinquish his role as acting CEO.

However, Teo will continue as its chief technology officer, the ACE Market listed company said in a statement to Bursa Malaysia.

Its chairman Geoffrey Ng said a renewed leadership would support the implementation of its corporate strategy successfully and take advantage of market opportunities ahead.

Ng said Tay had been part of the Kronologi management team for the past few years and has a solid understanding of our solutions, products and markets.

Tay founded Quantum Storage (India) Pte Ltd in 2012 and in 2016, became part of Kronologi’s management team since the merger of QSI into the group.

He has indirect interest in Kronologi Asia with 24.21 million shares or 6.07% stake via Quantum Storage (India).
