Public Mutual declares distributions of RM178m for two funds


KUALA LUMPUR: Public Mutual declared distributions amounting to more than RM178mil for its Public Aggressive Growth Fund and Public Regular Savings Fund.

It said on Friday the total gross distributions for the two funds for the financial year ended March 31, 2019 were two sen each.

Public Mutual is Malaysia’s largest private unit trust company with more than 130 unit trust funds under its management. As at end-February 2019, the total fund size managed was RM81.20bil.

Public Mutual also declared distributions for seven of its private retirement scheme (PRS) funds for the financial year ended March 31.

Under its PRS conventional series, it announced distribution of 0.25 sen per unit for the Public Mutual PRS Growth Fund; 0.75 sen each for the Public Mutual PRS Moderate Fund and Public Mutual PRS Conservative Fund. For the Public Mutual PRS Equity Fund, it was one sen per unit.

Under its PRS Shariah-based Series, it announced distribution of 0.25 sen for the Public Mutual PRS Islamic Growth Fund and Public Mutual PRS Islamic Moderate Fund. For the Public Mutual PRS Islamic Conservative Fund, it was 0.50 sen per unit.

Public Mutual is the largest PRS provider in Malaysia and manages nine PRS funds with a market share of 42.1% in the PRS sector as at end-February 2019.
