PETALING JAYA: Glovemakers are urging the government to reduce energy tariffs following sharp fall in the prices of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and coal in recent months.
Asian LNG pricing, based on Japan Korea Futures, has fallen about 60% since its peak of US$11.81 per one million British thermal units (mmbtu) in September last year, to about US$4.62 per mmbtu currently.
