PETALING JAYA: AWC Bhd’s tender for the RM35.1mil Bangunan JB Sentral facilities management services contract has been accepted by Jabatan Kerja Raya.
The contract secured by its wholly-owned subsidiary Ambang Wira Sdn Bhd, entails housekeeping services and maintenance of all blocks utilised and occupied by Bangunan JB Sentral in Johor Bahru, over a maintenance period of five years commencing April 1, 2019 until March 31, 2024.
This contract further extends AWC’s involvement in the non-concession segment of its facilities division.
In a press release on Monday, AWC group CEO and president Datuk Ahmad Kabeer said this is the third substantial contract that the group has secured in this first quarter of 2019.
“Earlier, we secured an equivalent of RM26mil contract from SDK Consortium in Singapore for the provision of subcontract works, namely Pneumatic Waste & Linen Chute System and Foodwaste Treatment System Work, as well as a RM29.9mil TRX Landlease contract for the provision of plumbing works at its proposed commercial mixed development in TRX.
“With this new contract in hand, we have amassed total contract works of more than RM90mil across our key divisions, in this first quarter alone.
“This is testament to AWC’s capability in replenishing our outstanding orderbook,” he said, adding that AWC’s outstanding orderbook amounts to more than RM1bil to date.
