KUALA LUMPUR: Sime Darby Plantation Bhd has rebranded its downstream division under a new entity called Sime Darby Oils (SDO).
At the launch event, the group also unveiled SDO's new logo, corporate identity and web domain (www.simedarbyoils.com) along with its signature tagline "Realising Possibilities, Together".
According to a statement, the group said SDO aims to establish itself as a sustainable oils and fats multinational company involved in the trading, manufacturing and sales and marketing of oils and fats products, palm oil-based biodiesel, nutraceuticals and other derivatives.
The company's global network extends to Malaysia, China, Netherlands, United Kingdom, South Africa, Thailand, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
"Our focus towards offering sustainably produced differentiated products and derivatives is now represented by a new single entity that encompasses our entire downstream business," said Sime Darby Plantation's executive deputy chairman and managing director Tan Sri Mohd Bakke Salleh.
