BOJ will debate exit plan for easy policy at appropriate time

Japanese government has decided to nominate Haruhiko Kuroda to serve as governor of the Bank of Japan for another term.

TOKYO: Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said on Monday the central bank would debate and communicate a plan to exit its ultra-loose monetary policy at the appropriate time.

He also said the BOJ would "patiently" maintain its massive stimulus programme to ensure inflation accelerates toward its 2 percent target.

"The economy is sustaining momentum for achieving the BOJ's price target," Kuroda told parliament. - Reuters
