Sunway Construction gets RM781m Tenaga contract

Sunway Construction Group Bhd's subsidiary has secured a RM781.30mil contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd for the power giant's campus in Bangsar.

KUALA LUMPUR: Sunway Construction Group Bhd's subsidiary has secured a RM781.30mil contract from Tenaga Nasional Bhd for the power giant's campus in Bangsar.

SunCon said on Tuesday its subsidiary Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd had accepted the letter of award issued by Tenaga for phase two of the headquarters campus development.

“The project shall be completed within 26 months from the date of commencement which will be determined by the parties. The project is expected to contribute positively to the earnings of SunCon Group from the financial year ending Dec 31, 2019 onwards,” it said.

This latest award increased SunCon’s outstanding order book to RM6bil.

At midday, SunCon was up four sen to RM1.63.
