KUALA LUMPUR: Serba Dinamik Holdings Bhd, KERJAYA PROSPEK GROUP BHD, Econpile Holdings Bhd and Velesto Energy Bhd are among the stocks to watch on Wednesday following their latest news, according to JF Apex Research.
Serba Dinamik has secured nine contracts worth RM448mil, Kerjaya Prospek won a RM280mil development contract from HCK Capital while Econpile bagged a RM209mil piling job.
Velesto has bagged a US$38mil contract extension to provide high pressure high temperature (HPHT) jack-up drilling rig and services for North Malay Basin, Malaysia.
Hartalega saw net profit rise 6% to RM119.76mil in the third financial quarter ended Dec 31, 2018, from RM113.02mil a year ago.
Supermax’s net profit rose 6.2% to RM38.14mil for the second financial quarter ended Dec 31, 2018, from RM35.9mil a year ago.
Frontken’s net profit for the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2018 jumped 90% year-on-year to RM18.7mil, from RM9.8mil previously due to lower foreign exchange loss and improved performances by its subsidiaries.
Meanwhile, US market advanced overnight after lawmakers agreed for a deal that will prevent a government shutdown.
Earlier, European stocks rose following optimism in the US-China trade talks.
“Following the bullish performance in the US and Europe, the FBM KLCI could climb towards its resistance of 1,710 points,” JF Apex said.
