PETALING JAYA: The Year of the Pig has begun on a positive note for the Malaysian stock exchange, led by buying interest in heavyweight counters.
The FBM KLCI, the benchmark index composed of Bursa Malaysia’s 30 largest companies by market capitalisation, rose 9.78 points or 0.58% to 1,693.39 points yesterday.
