has set up an executive committee and picked Amir Mohd Hafiz Amir Khalid as the officer-in-charge.
The Terengganu state owned plantation and healthcare company said on Monday the management changes followed the expiry of Datuk Mohamat Muda's contract as the group CEO on Jan 31. He was appointed to the post early 2017.
“The exco is established by the board of directors of TDM as a medium between the board, board committees and the management with a primary function and duty to oversee and ensure all board decisions and instructions to the management are implemented smoothly and efficiently,” it said.
TDM said the appointment of OIC was to fill the void in key management leadership and to assume and discharge the duties, roles and responsibilities of the group CEO from Feb 1 until further notice.
TDM chairman Raja Datuk Idris Raja Kamarudin said the board was looking for a new CEO and would make the appropriate announcement accordingly”.
It said the membership of the exco would comprise key representatives from the management and board of TDM.
Amir Hafiz, 39, is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom.
He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting and Finance from Liverpool John Moores University, UK and an intensive diploma in oil palm management and technology from Malaysia Palm Oil Board (MPOB).
